Laptop Wins
This is an update to the post a while back where I debated what to spend my life savings on: getting either a laptop or a piano. On Saturday, I ordered my new 13.3" MacBook from Apple, so I guess the laptop wins this round. However, if I found a piano I liked and could afford, maybe Round 2 could go to the piano. Although a pet could easily win Round 2 at this moment, because it would also be cheaper. (I did call about a $600 piano in the paper the other day but never heard back; I assume I was too late.)

I'll know about it when it actually comes in, but I know Titus inputs a keyboard "controller" into his and does do music stuff on it, so I'm looking forward to trying it out!
Hey Beth...Cool BLOG...thought I'd say hi! I got here thru your school website which is also very nice...30 private students...WOW! Congrats on your new toy...I'm sure you'll get lots of good use out if it...plus you get to play cool pianos all the time a church...you don't get your very own laptop at church...so I a think you made a good choice!
I think that you should have saved up all your money and spoiled your sweet sister when she comes down to move with you...
Sweet, a macbook! I think you'd have fun with a midi keyboard for music and Apple incudes a really cool piece of software called GarageBand for making music. I use it and its really sweet. I've been meaning to get a midi keyboard (whenever i find the resources :P), right now i just import off the mic from my piano :P
