Odd One Out

Which of these tulips is not like the others? Last fall I bought some tulip bulbs to plant in my front flower bed. I specifically bought red ones so that they would all be the same color. But somehow I got a hybrid bulb or something, because the one on the end is obviously yellow with red stripes (and also a little taller than the others). Hmm.... Anyway, this picture was actually taken last week when they were closer to their prime. This week they're all pretty much dead.

tulips are long gone here in georgia. it must be fun for you to have your own place now and plant flowers and such.

I kinda like that tulip that's not like the others...

Aren't tulips the most beautiful and cheerful welcome to warm weather? We still have a couple that are hanging on, but most of ours are all shriveled up now.

It's so exciting to continually be surprised by what the previous owners planted at our house!

Bein' in seminary, tulip doesn't always mean flower anymore. But I do like the tulips in your garden and I think the odd one does give your garden a little more of a unique flair to it. It's sweet.

I'm singing the "One of these things is not like the other" song, now from Sesame Street. Or is it Mr. Rogers? Thanks. I'll have that one in my head all day.
